Definitions

Terms used here have the same meaning as in the Terms of Service. “Helpful chat”, “attributed order”, and “commission” are defined there. The $500 allowance is $500 of attributed order value, not $500 of commission.

Store model

Approve Pay per sale. No commission on your first $500 of sales. We charge 3.5% of orders placed within 72 hours after a helpful chat, capped at $25 per order. Your first $500 of those orders (order value, not commission) carries no commission.

We charge 3.5% on orders placed within 72 hours after a shopper had a helpful conversation with Sonic Prospect, capped at $25 per order: one where it answered a pre-purchase question about your products, recommendations, comparisons, sizing, prices, stock, promotions, or policies (returns policy, shipping times, payment, warranty, pickup). Post-sales requests — order status or tracking, starting a return or exchange for an existing order, order changes or cancellation, account issues, or complaints — are offered “Talk to the store” and, if a contact page exists, that page. They never count as a helpful chat, even if an order follows within 72 hours. Human requests, handoffs, greetings, and unanswered questions don't count. We match the order through the same cart or, if the shopper was logged in, the same customer account. Shipping, taxes, tips and gift cards are excluded. If all items in an attributed order are refunded, or the order is cancelled, we reverse the full commission. Partial refunds don't change the commission. Amounts are computed in integer cents and rounded half-up to two decimals once, when written to the ledger and Admin totals. Order amounts in other currencies are converted to USD at the European Central Bank daily reference rate on the order's paid date, or, for currencies the ECB doesn't publish, another public daily reference rate. Refunds use the same exchange rate as the original sale.

Disputes, credits, and notice

You may dispute an attributed charge within 30 days after the order first appears on the Billing page. The launch rate is locked from first install; reinstalling does not restart that period. Approved disputes are applied as credits, not cash refunds of commission already invoiced through Shopify, unless Shopify requires otherwise. Material changes to this policy follow the same 30 days’ notice and 30-day grace as the Terms. If Shopify’s billing terms conflict with this policy on invoicing or refunds, Shopify’s terms prevail.

Governing law and disputes

Governing law and disputes are as set out in Sections 19 and 20 of the Terms of Service.
